Australian Paint Approval Scheme

APAS tests and certifies paints and coatings to ensure they meet stringent performance specifications.

APAS is administered by an advisory board which is responsible for ensuring that paints and related materials of satisfactory performance can be obtained for use by Commonwealth, State and Local governments and their instrumentalities (and other appropriate bodies).

National Association of Testing Authorities

The National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) is Australia's national laboratory accreditation authority, and the largest such system in the world.
NATA accreditation recognises and promotes facilities competent in specific types of testing, measurement, inspection and calibration.
