Help Duralex Help The Environment
Duralex is committed to protecting the environment, by way of cutting down on use of new packaging materials and the recycling of suitable containers.

Where possible, please collect cardboard packing cartons off our paint deliveries so that one of our representatives can collect them for return.

If you are not serviced by a Duralex Rep, a carton can help keep paint stable in your customers car and will generally end up in their paper recycling bin too!

This is one of many ways Duralex are helping to protect the environment. We thank you for your support.

NOTE: To prevent paint from entering drains, etc. in the event of a spillage, it is a wise idea to keep a bucket of sand and a broom close by when handling. If staff have a 'cleanup plan' the mess can be controlled quickly and easily.

Letter from Lou Miranda (Founder)

Dear Valued Customer,

You may see this sticker on all our paint products from now on. Odours due to Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C.’s) add to unacceptable air pollution and smog outside, as well as affecting personal health and well-being indoors.

Sixty years ago Duralex realised this hazard, as mentioned in our "Historical Background" leaflet.

It reads:-
"In those days almost every surface coating contained organic solvents of some kind, white lead and red lead were the norm and Duralex figured there had to be a better way".

Yes, it may be hard to believe, but Duralex paved the way to dramatically improve Surface Coating Industry standards.

Our products through the 60 years of our existence have always been “Low V.O.C.” and “Low Odour”.

We respectfully ask, is there any other paint company in Australia that can say that?

Thank you for selling Duralex paint products and hope this information will strengthen your continued support.

Lou Miranda
Founder

P. S. Incidentally, this financial year makes it our 60th "Birthday".
