HEALTH EFFECTS

  • Swallowed: May cause irritation to mouth, throat and digestive tract.
  • Eyes: Slightly irritating to eyes.
  • Skin: Irritating to skin upon repeated or prolonged contact.
  • Inhaled: Vapour or mist may cause headache, nausea and irritation of the nose and throat if used in poorly ventilated areas.

FIRST AID

  • Swallowed: If swallowed dilute by giving water to drink. Consult a doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
  • Eyes: Irrigate with copious quantities of water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • Inhaled: Move to fresh air.

First Aid Facilities: No special facilities required.

ADVICE TO DOCTOR: Treat symptomatically.

  • Exposure Standards: Not established.
  • Engineering Controls: Use in a well ventilated area.
  • Personal Protection: Avoid eye and skin contact.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

Storage and Transport: Not classified as a Dangerous Good. Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Keep from freezing. Product may coagulate.

Spills and Disposal: Keep public away. For major spills, dam and recover. Prevent entry into drainage system, river etc. Collect with absorbent material such as sand, earth or sawdust. Advise authorities. Wet paint should not be poured down drains or into gardens. Check with your local council regarding special collections. Empty paint containers can be disposed with household rubbish if they are dry. Simply remove lids and allow them to dry out thoroughly before putting them in the bin.
